Enjoy Armagh in all its glory as the city retraces its steps back to its Georgian roots.
The Great Georgian Banquet returns where guest travel through the mists of time to Georgian Armagh, with a Black Tie event in the Archbishop’s Palace. Meet with Georgian Characters who will entertain you with the music, pastimes and stories of the time. A sumptuous 5 Course Menu with fine wines evoke the menus of the time all served with a modern twist- this is an evening not to be missed!
On Georgian Day, a festive market will bring the city to life, with stalls offering high quality gifts and locally produced food and drink. Including the return of the Hot Food Village with Cider and Beer producers, serving quality hot food with a seated area and entertainment. The city streets will offer something different on every turn including period characters, demonstrations, live music, street theatre & performers, walking tours, mulled wine, mince pies, hot chestnuts and much more.
Also returning for this years Georgian Festival is The Mock Trial and Courthouse Tours set to rekindle the harshness of the Georgian Legal system with interactive trials in Armagh’s Georgian Courthouse. Witness the trials of theft and murder!
The Children’s Georgian Market at The Shambles Yard will offer a family friendly experience with traditional fairground games & rides, festive stalls with treats & gifts suitable for little people, real reindeer, light sculptures, workshops & crafts all served with lashings of sprinkles and glitter!
Horse-drawn carriage rides around The Mall in Armagh are a wonderful way to take in the beauty of Armagh’s distinctive Georgian architecture. Sit back and enjoy a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride around the iconic tree-lined Georgian Mall, in a stylish coach operated by Georgian gentry
As the city grows dark, the dramatic Light Show illuminating the backdrop of the Georgian Market House and creating a festive atmosphere with contemporary and seasonal music. A must see for all visitors to the City!
